I had been working in an IT related field for almost four years now. But till now I’m still in the same position that I had a couple of years back. I had been planning to at least go up the corporate ladder but how should I do it? The industry is very competitive right now with all those certified professionals out in the market. So how can I improve and gain edge over those other people who have the same profession as me? My answer is Cisco certification.

How can being Cisco certified change my career? Being trained and certified gives you more knowledge and empowerment to be better than others who have not undergone the training and certification at all. Being certified means you are really competent to perform a specific task that a company requires. This gives you more edge over others and also gives a company that will hire you an assurance that you’ll be doing what they had expected you to do.

So where should you start? Be Cisco trained now in your chosen field, be it in IP Networking, Design, Security, Voice, Wireless, Routing and Switching. Gain that edge of being really competent in what you do and become certified for being good at it. You can start as Entry level and work your way up the different certifications, Associate, Professional, Expert and Specialist, that is.

What then after these? Well, after being Cisco certified, you have the empowerment that you need to push your way through the very competitive world of IT industry. You can get that job that you wanted or change or enhance your career if you want to. Because now you have what you need to be what you want in your chosen field.
